[It’s an abnormally quiet household for Edward and Winry today, now that the third member of their family is gone, and while he’d be content to keep his misery to himself in any other situation, this particular little person has made a huge impact in enough lives that it needs to be shared. So...]

[Ed’s going to be hanging around the house for most of the day, though by late afternoon he’ll be going to the Battle Dome to basically destroy everything he can get away with in the simulations until he drags himself home or is otherwise kicked out. In the evening, however, he's actually going to swing by the bar. Not for drinking, necessarily, it just seems like the place to go when you want to wallow.

He's only just finished his second year in Luceti, and this happens? Yeah, this week totally sucks.]

[He's a little sad at that thought - a thought he has to face with all his friends from other worlds. And one that, in a way, he may face with Ikki someday.

But he remembers all the time he's seen her sad, here. And he knows that there was at least one traumatic incident with her courtesy of Loki and Hawkeye. It hurts that she'll lose the good times, but there's relief that all the bad times will be gone as well.]

She shouldn't. I've never known anyone to remember things when they go home. Including myself. In the end... that's a good thing, right?

...Well. It's wrong of me to be saying that to people who aren't from our world, since when I go back she'll still know me. But I can't say I'm not glad that she'll be forgetting a lot of what happened here.

Still... she did get to see her dad again, while she was here. There's a lot of memories with him, and that would be a huge loss.

[It was ironic. That it was so soon before he she went home that Elicia had gone around taking those pictures and videos of her friends here - as ways to remember them when they were gone. When in fact... those pictures wound up becoming their mementoes of her.]

I understand. And I know... That must be a horrible price to pay. I only met him once, but he was a good man. It's sad that she'll lose the memories, but... his love will still be there, with her. It's like a guru once told me. Love can never die. It stays in your heart and gets reborn as new love.

[...He likes that phrase. It makes him uncomfortable for reasons he'd never explain, but at least it sounds nice. He could do with a little more "nice" in his life, that's for sure.]

I never met her, but she must be greet. And... she still has you and Winry there, too.

...I don't know if she and her mom would really want to see me back there, but she does love Winry, so. Yeah.

No, we- ...yeah, we were fine. But a lot happened back there, and I think I'd give her too many reminders of that.

Really? But wouldn't being away from them a lot make them worry about you instead?

I don't think so? I mean, she's smart. She understands that what we do back there is important stuff. And I don't mean to brag or anything, but I'm kind of well-known. If something happened to me, she'd probably hear about it eventually.

Well I guess that'd help. I just still think they'd be happy more than anything to see you. But I guess I don't really know much about it.
