[It's been a few days since Gracia was sent home, and Edward has suddenly found himself to be in something of an awkward position: without her primary caregiver around, Elicia needs somebody to watch her. Winry is the logical choice, but she actually has a job, so she can't be around all the time. It's true that he keeps himself busy, but the truth is that most of his time is eaten up with studying, trips back and forth to the library, and keeping himself fit. The library and exercise business can be done with a kid around, no problem, but to study he kind of needs... you know, quiet. And Elicia is a self-starter, but you can't just leave kids unsupervised for hours and hours. It's irresponsible.
So now he's... what, a stay-at-home dad until school starts?
Crap.]
[Voice / Filtered from Elicia]
Hey, uh... a couple questions. What're some good ways to keep a little kid entertained? And... you know, if you've got any advice for caring for one in general, I'll take it. It's not something I've really done that much...
And the other question is- are there any trustworthy babysitters around? In case- ...yeah.
Thanks in advance.

..Um... Did you... have a child, Edward...? [sorry]

N-no!! I'm just- I'm helping to look after someone!
no subject
O-oh! That would make more sense, wouldn't it...? Um.. Sorry about that..

Oh, right! I see... In that case, whose child is she..?
no subject
A... family friend. She doesn't have any family left in Luceti, and I promised I'd help look after her.
no subject
It's very nice of you to be looking after her, then. Um.. If you need any help though, please let me know! But... telling her stories and playing games with her are a few ideas.

How are you feeling, anyway? [Because dwelling on Elicia and the Hughes situation is too depressing, after repeated conversations.] Been a while since I saw you outside of some weird experiment.
no subject
But um... it has been a long while, hasn't it? [...A little embarrassed about that since if she remembers correctly, last time, she thought he was a panda or something. Yeaah.] I've been well though! I haven't gotten sick at all since then, so...

[It's not much a problem here in Luceti now though, especially considering how Leon did give her that Healing Ring for her birthday.]
no subject
Sorry to hear that. That can't be easy for you.
no subject
Mm, it's a little difficult at times, but it's alright. I haven't felt very ill at all since the last time I was sick, so it's not too much of a problem right now, I think.

[Pardon his nosiness, but this kind of thing is just plain interesting.]

Mm! A friend of mine made a healing ring for me, so there's that. It helps me feel refreshed as I walk around wearing it.

[And cool. Why doesn't his world have stuff like that? He can't even heal with alchemy yet.]
no subject
It really is! I appreciate that he made it for me, and it really does help a lot. If you're interested in it, I could show it to you sometime.

[Normally magic really isn't his thing, but Sokka got him into the whole enchanting thing, so it's worth checking out.]
